Registered Dental Hygienist - Mayflower Dental
Mayflower Dental has been serving the Sydney and surrounding areas for years. Our office is in an accessible location and we are a dedicated patient-based clinic. We pride ourselves on providing optimal patient care to our patients and their families in a friendly and caring environment.
Dr. Chris Baker, Dr Michael Bungay, Dr Curtis White, Dr. Jordan MacKenzie and Dr. Chris Law along with their Dental Assistants offer comprehensive dental services, from emergency treatment, general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, implant restoration, Botox, Invisalign, TMJ services and full smile makeovers. We have a talented team of Dental Hygienists that work closely with our dentists to provide you with excellent care, provide oral cancer and periodontal screening to assist you with understanding your oral health. Mayflower Dental has an RDA Clinical Lead that assists with sterilization and clinical flow throughout the day.
Being part of the Mayflower Dental Group, with 6 locations in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality – we are able to provide a solid internal patient referral program, dental hygiene program, excellent support system for expanding your skill set and the opportunity to learn among a very talented group of Dental Professionals. This position is full-time (rotating schedule). Our schedule is very unique and allows our employees to have a good work/life balance. The ability to accept additional hours is available within our Mayflower Dental Group network of clinics. We offer a competitive salary, comprehensive health care benefits, uniform allowance, paid CPR, parking and continuing education.
Schedule:
Rotating Flexible Schedule; 35-40 hours per week (3-4 day work week)

Responsibilities:
Appropriately assess, plan, implement and evaluate services for patient care
Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants and whitening to patients
Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling
Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patients’ expectations, while consistently maintaining ethical and professional behaviour.
About You:
Completed Dental Hygiene Diploma or Hygiene Degree
Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with provincial licensing
Valid CPR certification
